Co-Extrusion Process

Co-extrusion involves sending two or more molten raw materials through a single die to produce multi-layer pipes with various colors or wall thicknesses. This process combines multiple plastics to create materials with distinct properties, opening new frontiers in material engineering and addressing complex manufacturing needs. Co-extrusion also reduces costs by incorporating recycled and reground scrap within virgin material for applications like handrails, fences, tubing, structural components, and air-blown food containers.

  • Single screw extruder
  • Co-extruder: For manufacturing marking lines on pipes or creating multi-layer pipes
  • Die head
  • Vacuum tank: Designed with single or double vacuum chambers based on diameter requirements
  • Cooling tank: Configured with one, two, or three tanks depending on diameter
  • Haul-offs: Available in double, three, four, six, eight, ten, or twelve haul-offs configurations based on diameter
  • Cutter: Options include no-scraps cutter or planetary cutter designs
